Any person who is self employed should not be without the benefit of a Personal Accident Plan – If you are out of work as a result of an accident will your income continue?

What is Personal Accident?

Personal accident is a type cover that is designed to provide you with an Income and/or Capital Sum in the event of an accident preventing you being able to work.

We have designed a simple package below that will suit most occupations – Even if your occupation is an excluded one please call us as we will probably be able to quote you an alternative package. You’ll find that premiums are really good value for those occupations that qualify and a fraction of the premiums you’d pay if you purchased through the usual channels.

The covers on this plan are summarized below:

1. Accidental Death	€125,000
2. Loss
2.1 Permanent Disabling Injuries	€125,000
2.2. Loss of one or more limbs	€125,000
2.3 Loss of sight in one or both eyes	€125,000
2.4 Loss of hearing in both ears	€125,000
2.5 Loss of hearing in one ear	€31,250
2.6 Total loss of use of
Back or spine below the neck with no damage to the spinal cord	€25,000
Neck or cervical spine with no damage to the spinal cord	€18,750
Shoulder elbow or wrist	€15,600
Hip, knee or ankle	€12,500
2.7 Total loss of:
1. A shoulder, elbow or wrist	€31,250
2. A hip, knee or ankle	€25,000
3. A thumb	€31,250
4. A forefinger	€25,000
5. Any other finger	€12,500
6. A big toe	€18,750
7. Any other toe	€6,250
3. Temporary Total Disablement
1 week deferment, payable up to 104 weeks max €500 per week or 75% of Gross weekly wage, whatever is the lesser	€500 per week
4. Hospital Confinement
Payable up to 26 weeks max	€250 per week

Benefits for any Permanent Disabling Injury not noted above will be calculated on a Medical assessment by Insurers of the degree of the disability relative to this scale. No Account shall be taken of the Insured Person’s occupation. Remember that in respect of the Weekly benefit section you will need to be having an earned income of at least 125% OF THE WEEKLY BENEFIT SHOWN – Refer to policy for full details of terms and exclusions.

• Professional Sportspeople and Entertainers;
• Trawler Men/Women;
• Taxi
• Haulier 
• Buthcer         

• Window cleaners

I am over eighteen years of age and under age sixty five.
I confirm that my I have not previously held this type of insurance where any year's policy losses (settled or outstanding claims) have exceeded 50% of the annual premium for any of the last three years.
I understand that Personal Accident policy is subject to terms and conditions and these have been available to me to view on the Burke Insurances Website.
